F1 reaction time guide

An F1 reaction time test measures how quickly you respond after the lights go out. In a browser, the number is best used as a practice benchmark, not a professional measurement.

Score ranges

  • 300ms or slower: a normal casual score with room to practice.
  • 250-299ms: a solid browser reaction time.
  • 200-249ms: a quick clean reaction.
  • Under 200ms: excellent for a browser-based test when it is not a false start.

Use clean attempts

The best comparison is not your single fastest lucky run. Track several clean starts on the same device and compare the middle of your results. That makes progress easier to see and reduces the effect of one perfect or one poor attempt.
